Guiding a Connect Group
doesn’t have to be hard.

There’s no pressure to be perfect or have all the answers. Start with a heart for people and something you enjoy sharing.

A walk, a conversation, a shared interest—simple moments make room for real fellowship. Our Connect Groups Leadership Team will help you prepare, answer questions, and support you along the way. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

We’re excited to see how God works through the friendships, encouragement, and everyday moments in your group.

As a Connect Group Guide, you help people find a place to belong.

You welcome new faces, bring people together around shared interests, and encourage fellowship and discipleship. You do not need to be a professional event planner. Your focus is people, relationships, and growing together in Christ.

A Pillar Leader supports the broader ministry interest area your group belongs to—Fitness & Wellness, Book Club, Outdoor Sports & Recreation, or Creative Expressions. You’ll meet with a Pillar Leader as part of getting started.

  • New Member Training
  • Volunteer Training

If you still need either training, let your Pillar Leader know so they can help you identify your next step.

Complete Guide Training with the Connect Groups Leadership Team. Learn how to welcome participants, guide gatherings, and encourage fellowship and discipleship.

This is a chance to ask questions, talk through real situations, and feel supported as you get started. Ministry leadership will coordinate the training details with you.

Meet with a Pillar Leader

Connect with the Pillar Leader for your group’s interest area. Talk through your ideas, ask questions, and clarify what you need to get started.

  • Share the kind of group or gathering you would like to guide.
  • Discuss your training and any remaining preparation.
  • Talk through welcoming participants, gathering details, and staying connected.

Meeting arrangements will be coordinated with ministry leadership. Scheduling is not yet available through this prototype.
